Properties

White powder. No smell but taste bitter. Soluble in acetone, alcohol, insoluble in benzene, gasoline and water.

Application

A non-staining secondary antioxidant for NR, CR, SBR, NBR and EPR etc. Especially effective against heat oxidation in combination with amine.

Storage

The product should be stored in the dry and cooling place with good ventilation, avoiding exposure of the packaged product to direct sunlight. The validity is 2 years.

Related information extension

1.Similar to antioxidant MB, it is a zinc salt that can be used directly without aging and has the effect of decomposing peroxides. This product has excellent heat resistance. When mixed with imidazole and other antioxidants, it has a protective effect against copper damage. It can be used as an auxiliary thermosensitizer of latex foam compound to obtain foam products with even foam, and also as a gelling agent of latex system.

2.How is the product made:

(1) Adding a water-soluble zinc salt solution to the aqueous solution of the alkali metal salt of 2-mercaptobenzimidazole for reaction;

(2)Using o-nitroaniline as a raw material, o-phenylenediamine is generated through reduction, and then reacted with carbon disulfide in a sodium hydroxide solution to generate 2-mercaptobenzimidazole sodium. After refining, the sodium salt is dissolved in water, and zinc aluminide is added to its aqueous solution.

3.The decomposition point is higher than 270 ℃.
