Properties

White powder. Density is 1.41. Soluble in 1% NaOH solution, CS2, benzene, chloroform, slightly soluble in alcohol, insoluble in gasoline.

Application

Used for NR, IR, SR, SBR, NBR, EPDM and their latexes. A fast curing primary or secondary effective ultra-accelerator for natural and synthetic latex form compounds. Can be used advantageously for dipped, spread, and cast goods. Similar in property that of RTENZA PZ. Less resistance to scorching than RTENZA PZ and shows a slight tendency to premature vulcanization. An antioxidant in adhesive systems.

Storage

The product should be stored in the dry and cooling place with good ventilation, avoiding exposure of the packaged product to direct sunlight. The validity is 2 years.

Related information extension

1.Used as a promoter for latex, with a reference dosage of 0.5-1.0 parts. It is also used as a modifier for hot melt pressure sensitive adhesives and hot melt adhesives. Due to the generation of harmful nitrosamines, zinc dibenzyl disulfide carbamate (DBZ) can be used as a substitute.

2.Product Usage: Used as a super accelerator for natural rubber and synthetic rubber, especially suitable for butyl rubber, EPDM rubber, and latex. Non toxic, odorless, suitable for white or bright colored, transparent products. Application in rubber products in contact with food.

3.Performance: ZDEC has a fast vulcanization rate in natural rubber and synthetic rubber such as SBR, NBR, EPDM, etc. The addition of thiuram and thiazole type accelerators can delay the initial vulcanization and improve processing safety. Compared with ZDBC, ZDEC has a longer scorching time and a shorter overall vulcanization time. Alkaline accelerators have an activation effect on it, and a small amount of ZDEC can be used as a side promoter for mercaptan or thiuram type accelerators. ZDEC can improve the tensile strength and resilience of vulcanizates, and antioxidants should be added to NR and IR to improve heat resistance.
