What is recycled rubber and what are its applications?

Recycled rubber, also known as recycled rubber, refers to a material that undergoes physical and chemical processes such as crushing, regeneration, and mechanical processing to transform waste rubber products from their original elastic state into a processable viscoelastic state that can be re vulcanized.

The production processes of recycled rubber mainly include oil method (direct steam static method), water oil method (steaming method), high-temperature dynamic desulfurization method, extrusion method, chemical treatment method, microwave method, etc. According to the production method, it can be divided into water oil method and oil method; According to the raw materials, it can be divided into tire recycled rubber and miscellaneous recycled rubber.

Recycled rubber is a low-grade raw material widely used in the rubber industry, replacing some natural rubber and reducing the amount of natural rubber used in rubber products. In recent years, there has also been the emergence of latex products with high rubber content recycled rubber.

In recent years, through technological innovation, the production process of recycled rubber has changed from the original water oil method and oil method to the current high-temperature dynamic method. The waste gas has been centrally discharged, treated, and recovered, basically achieving pollution-free and pollution-free production. The production technology has reached the international advanced level and is moving towards green environmental protection. Therefore, in recent years, recycled rubber has developed the fastest in the field of waste rubber utilization in China. In addition to environmental protection, the quality of recycled rubber is superior to other rubbers. Some ordinary rubber products can be produced using recycled rubber alone. Adding some recycled rubber to natural rubber can effectively improve the extrusion and rolling performance of the rubber material, with little impact on the indicators.

Recycled rubber can be mixed in tires, pipes, rubber shoes, and rubber sheets, especially in building materials and municipal engineering, which have been widely used.
